Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced General Manager – Business Development & Operations to take responsibility for the overall business and operations management of the company.
The role will involve managing and coordinating Sales & Marketing, Business Development, Production, PPC, Quality, Stores, Purchase, Maintenance and other operational functions, while driving business growth, operational efficiency, productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Operations Management
- Manage overall business and operations of the company.
- Develop and monitor business plans, sales targets, production plans and delivery schedules.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials and financial resources.
- Monitor sales, production, productivity, quality, cost and profitability.
- Identify operational and business bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Strengthen SOPs, systems, processes and ERP-based controls.
Business Development & Sales
- Drive Sales & Marketing and Business Development activities.
- Develop strategies to achieve sales growth and business expansion.
- Monitor sales targets and overall business performance.
- Support customer relationship management and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Drive business growth with a strong focus on commercial performance and profitability.
Production & Operations
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Quality, Stores, Purchase and Maintenance teams.
- Ensure timely order execution and delivery as per committed schedules.
- Monitor production plans, productivity and resource utilization.
- Identify production and operational bottlenecks and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Drive productivity improvement, cost reduction and process optimization.

Candidate Profile
- 15 Years to 20 years of relevant experience in a senior managerial / leadership position in an engineering or manufacturing company.
- Strong practical knowledge of Sales & Marketing, Business Development, Production, PPC, Quality, Stores, Purchase, Maintenance, Inventory and overall business operations.
- Experience in B2B / OEM markets will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, KPI/MIS management, cost reduction, process improvement and business growth.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Strong commercial and strategic-thinking ability.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
